Office of Town Clerk/Tax Collector
The Town Clerk acts as the chief customer service agent in the Town of Piercefield and serves as record keeper for Town Board meetings. The Clerk is able to assist with marriage licenses, and birth/death certificates.
The Town Tax Collector is responsible for the collection of town and county property taxes for the residents of the Town of Piercefield. The Tax Collector receives and processes tax payments, maintains tax payment records, and assists residents with questions regarding their property tax bills and payment status.
Residents are encouraged to contact the Tax Collector with any questions regarding tax payments, due dates, receipts, or other tax-related matters.
Tax Collection
Current year taxes are collected by this office from January 1st until June 2nd for Town & County taxes. Taxes can be paid in person or by mail. We accept cash, check, or money order.
Copies of Birth, Marriage and Death Certificates are available for a $10.00 fee. Check may be payable to Town of Piercefield.
